Climate Conversations – The Extreme Heat Impacts of Climate Change: How to Adapt, Prepare, and Strengthen Community Resilience

September 17, 2020 | 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Utah remains vulnerable to the worst impacts of climate change. Join for a conversation with scientists and activists working to understand the rapid increases in extreme heat projected to occur in locations across the US due to climate change and impacts on Utah — from increased droughts to wildfires, and a lack of resources for Utah’s growing population. We’ll discuss Utah’s vulnerabilities and how we can adapt, prepare, and strengthen community resilience in the face of climate change.

The event will include an interactive presentation by climate analysts from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and a community discussion with climate researchers and activists in Utah. For more information, visit sierraclub.org/utah
